Residues buried in the membrane core: W19-V21 and L27-V29 (based on locations of NH hydrogens). This is consistent with burial of loops W19-V21 and L27-V29 in DPC micelles (Shenkarev et al. 2006). Maximal membrane binding affinity is -6.4 kcal/mol (Kamimori et al. 2005).
