Experimental Verification for 1z9h » Microsomal prostaglandin E synthase 2
Membrane-associated protein. Crystallized with N-DODECYL-beta-D-MALTOPYRANOSIDE. Calculated orientation is compatible with the proposed membrane-anchoring role of missing N-terminal segment of the protein (Yamada et al 2005). An opposite orientation of the protein has been proposed based on a secondary structure prediction of the missing segment (Yamada et al 2005). A TM helix might be present in the missing segment, as indicated in UniProt.
