Crystal structure. This is energetically optimal membrane binding mode predicted by PPM 2.0. Unit interacting with membrane is a dimer formed by two antiparallel alpha-helices. Crystal structure represents channel formed by a trimer of dimers. The dimers are loosely packed, with many charged residues facing outside, to water or lipid.
