Comments: Regulates the GDP/GTP exchange reaction of the Rho proteins by inhibiting the dissociation of GDP from them, and the subsequent binding of GTP to them.

Verification: Rho GDP-dissociation inhibitor 2, complex with G-protein RAC2
The inhibitor is bound to RAC2 protein (Ras-related C3 botulinum toxin substrate 2). RAC2 has S-geranylgeranyl cysteine 189. The geranylgeranyl residue can be buried in the membrane if the C-terminus of RAC2 is extended or unfolded (the C-terminal residues are missing in the crystal structure). The interaction with membrane is weak, since this is the inactive (GDP-bound) state. RAC2 is membrane-associated when activated.
